Yes the Dynaudio did receive a class A rating but this was Class A Restricted Extreme Low Frequency. The Sopra 3 received Class B Full Range.

So would it better to get the Contour 20 with a subwoofer over the Sopra 3?

Good luck trying to integrate a sub. that's a headache that'll likely never work right.

I would never, ever buy a speaker based only on a magazine review, no matter how positive the review. Is there ever such a thing as a bad review?

I can't begin to tell you how many times I've read a rave review of a high-priced speaker, only to be very disappointed when I auditioned the speaker at a dealer. I have learned to trust my own ears far more than any magazine review.

Is your comment referring to the Contour 20 or subs and speakers in general?
It may take some time but I have my VS VR-5 and JL Audio f113 dialed in perfectly. YMMV.

Just got the Sopra 3s. They are replacing 1038be. So far just breaking them in but they are definitely a nice upgrade in all areas
