Stillpoints or harmonix spike base
Currently my Wilson Alexis is on the stock spikes resting on the granite flooring, I am planning to replace them with Stillpoints ultra ss or the hamonix RF-999MT.
As I do not have any experience with either products, would appreciate advices from those who have used both products before and their thoughts. Thank You |

I have not used Harmonix RF-999MT, but I am currently using Stillpoints Ultra 5 under my Wilson Sophia 2 speakers.

Appreciate the information.
In installing the ultra 5, is there a need of any adaptor for your Sophia 2 speaker? or it can be mounted directly to the base of the speaker with original stud of the speaker? Thank You |

Yes, you need adapters. The stud needs to be replaced because the diameter and pitch of the stud required by the Ultra is smaller than the original stud. Stillpoints offers a replacement stud (at additional cost) that is the original diameter and pitch on one end and the Stillpoints diameter and pitch on the other.
