Hard to believe they have never thought of putting the logo on the heat sinks until now.

Looks sharp.

Definitely a very nice 200wpc integrated to have. Beautiful - yes, but other than the heat sinks it looks the same as the MA7900.

Yeah I took those beautiful photos........ not

Have never considered buying anything from McIntosh, but have to admit this has me interested. Unlike the vast majority of people I really just want a nice integrated amp with DAC built in that is easy to operate. Considerably cheaper than the Mark Levinson unit I was basically set on and my local dealer carries both brands.

Wow, the 8900 looks great! I just traded my MA6600 and D100 in for a C52 (and an MC7100 temporarily). Had I known about the MA8900, I would have gone in that direction instead. I love the C52, but the convenience of an integrated is also very nice.

The MA8900 has all of the features I appreciate from the C52 - a nice EQ, HT pass-through, the ability to rename inputs, and (I assume) the much improved HR085 remote.
I'm also very excited to see that McIntosh is now providing upgradeable DAC units.

This looks like a very nice component.

I dreamt about it and McIntosh has done it... The possibility to upgrade the DAC that it will be obsolete before the analogic section is a very good thing. This new gear looks great.

New internal components, new dac, new heatsinks with Mc logo... Yeah !!!

"...eliminate thermal equilibrium lag..."

I wonder if application of those transistors is new, or exist in other current products. I'm convinced my 452 sounds better the next day (hours of warmup, I leave it on over the weekend). Others tell me that's called "Saturday" and has nothing to do with warmup.
