Randy... Looking at the signatures around here it's pretty obvious we're not that herd minded. There's just about every brand and setup one can imagine. Just having some fun with my iPhone.

I love my Astell & Kern AK240s. However, I haven't found a better replacement yet. I joyfully dumped my iPods and can't bare to listen to any tunes through the iPhone. Now between the two -- I can tell a sonic improvement comparing and Apple device to the AK240. Though, using Bluethooth universally sounds just awful

Yes those are some of the flaws I didn't explicit.

I would have liked to see a test using the same file on both the Pono and iPhone to see if one beat the other. Also one using the HD and standard track on the Pono. My feeling is that the issue is with the DAC and not the file.

Contrary to some, I like that he used a standard earbud as that is what most of the people will use. I still use mine on the iphone most of the time (yeah I know). the test was consumer-oriented and not audiophile-oriented.
