I had a power issue when I owned my c2500. What happened in my case was that one day it shut off. Then, it would happen again, once in a blue moon. Over time, the problem got worse, and it started randomly shutting off more frequently.
Then, once it shut off, it developed an issue where when you turned it back on, it would only come on for a second or so, then shut off again. Eventually, it wouldn't turn on at all. Ultimately, I sent it to McIntosh for repair. They diagnosed it as a faulty solder point on one of the boards, sent it back good as new, and it worked perfectly until the day I sold it when I upgraded to the c1100. |
