I must say those are beautiful speakers. I am envious. They seem like a perfect choice. The finish is incredible.

2 votes for the 501s now. I'm leaning towards this option! This is not a cheap option. I need to find some good deals on the 'gon if I want to buy used.

With tube power amps I always worried about tube life and heat. The 501s run cool and some days I have them on and playing all the time. I know I would not do that with a tube amp. Alberto |

Yes, I tend to agree the hassle free operation of MC501s is very appealing. I leave my stereo on for hours sometimes. The 501s with a tube pre-amp should be good.

Tommy,
Great pictures and great system. I also have the GMs but i am a SET amp fan so i use a "big watt" SET amp to drive mine. They are great speakers! Enjoy |

Looking at your pix, it was exactly what I went thru 3 months ago with my new Red Violin GM's. Mine have gotten darker over those months. Have yours changed much? I am very impressed with the bass these put out. Sonus, I usally run a Pass XA.5 class A amp on these but I have a couple of SET's in another system that I hooked up to these. I prefer a 300b over the 845 even though the 845 is more powerful. What SET are you using and how much power? |

I am using the KR Audio Kronzilla SX, after much testing it's a perfect fit. They are 50 Watts per channel |
