Another sad day for sure. With 50+ albums he's left us with lots of listening and enjoyment on tap whenever we need it BB style. He made sure we'd be entertained for years to come. Unmistakable sound and style, and a huge influence on musicians worldwide.

We were in St Louis, MO for a graduation last week and I spent some time at Vintage Vinyl on Delmar Loop. The marque said it all.
I took this photo on the afternoon of his death and they were playing all B.B. King for the rest of the day. I had a hard time leaving. RIP, Mr. King.

Hi Everyone. A little about BB, For at least the last 30 years around the first week of June, BB came home to Indianola, Ms. He did it to visit relatives and to play music for the people of Ms. Families of all walks of life would pick a spot, throw down a blanket and sit. From the stage, you could see thousands of people of all colors and of all ages sitting side by side singing and dancing together. All the kids running around and playing with each other was great. That was a BB teaching moment. All the money made each year went for kids programs in the Delta.
Later that night say 11:30 BB would start playing at "Little Eboney" club. About 300 of BB's oldest friends black and white would show up year after year. Players, singers, and dancers of the past would be invited up to sing or play or just dance to the music. A night of Super Blues, great Gospel and Love dominated. If only the World could get it! BB was a Treasure and he will be missed, BUT, he did leave us his music. GBBBRILEYKING Tra |
