Ain't jazz and ain't opera . . . but Von Stade pulls it off quite nicely.
Listening to . . . . Frederica von Stade Sings Brubeck: Across Your Dreams Frederica von Stade (Opera Mezzo-Soprano Frederica von Stade one of the great Sopranos) Brubeck . . . welll, you know who he was, but on this recording it is his son Chris who is doing the honors - and he is darn good. Here he plays the piano and trombone. Bill Crofut - joins in with Ms. Von Stade in the singing - and he is great. A realliy, really nice recording - fun to listen to.
