Funny. I think you have the genders of the equipment right, but this is my parents in reverse: Italian boy meets American girl. Must be karma. I can definitely relate to Italian beauty and sophisticated American muscle.

You'll really love the 2301's, they're just outstanding amplifiers with especially awesome midrange. I've had mine awhile now, the serial numbers are under 100, and they're staying a long, long time.

I too am considering the Amati Futura's. Congrats on an awesome system.
