No vermouth in a Vesper.

Since the Gordon's was reformulated awhile back try to find a 100-proof gin, then follow the 3:1:1/2 ratio just like Bond.

Lillet Blanc works just fine - and even going full vodka with Lillet is fine, too (if you are not a gin fan).

What about yours?
As a long time Martini drinker (extra dry, mentioning the word vermouth in this reply is enough), I still prefer the original....'Plymouth' , it traces it's roots back to the first Martini...1793.

Bombay Saffire and Tanqueray10 are a close second, IMO

Thanks for the vermouth recommendation. Will try.

BTW, I'm a huge Martini fan.

While the Hendrick's is great in some cocktails (esp. w/cucumber, a dash of St. Germain, etc.), Tanqueray 10 smokes it for a tradtional (extra) dry martini.

Cerignola olives (brined, not vinegar) and you are in a happy place.
