Good to know, thanks...

Problem with used accuphase amps or gears for that matter is that they do break down every now and then.
They have to be repaired in the country where it was purchased.
If you cannot get that warranty from the person / store it was purchased, forget it... it can become paperweight.
accuphase repairs are done board by board without soldering.
Accuphase have very good warranty, among the best I've seen. Even 7 year old cd players and amps have been repaired for free of parts provided it was purchased from your local dealer.
I had a friend who bought accuphase amp from china and he brought it over to Philippines. When the amplifier broke down due to power surges, the local dealer as much as wanted to help him can't because accuphase will ask for serial #s.
Unfortunately the unit had to be sent back to China for repairs and it became quite expensive and time consuming.
Accuphase are not perfect, they are reliable but they do break down and ive seen them break down but the warranty is the best ive seen!!! just make sure its locally purchased. hope that helps.

Not that I encourage to buy overseas, but
"problem" is that with certain products, if you buy in Japan and then the hardware brakes down and is absolutely not repairable outside official Accuphase service, you can always buy another new one and still don't reach the price of a single officially imported unit
