Bob - I haven't had a turntable in 30 years. So yes, a new journey for me! I have about 100 albums from my childhood when I listened to classical music and some classic rock.

Indeed......... if you don't have an RCM to clean those 30yr old LPs you will be hearing many clicks, pops & other surface noise. Cleanliness is next to.......... for your new high-end vinyl rig. Some of the newer ultra-sonic RCMs work magic on vinyl. The VPI 16.5 also does a good job with high value-4-$ ratio (its just loud).

I hope so. I've had my eye on the RP10 for a few years. I wanted to update my digital source last year and did that. Now I'm adding a highly competitive analog source component to round out my playback gear. I'm getting giddy with anticipation in listening to records I haven't played since I was a teenager!

Me too, just read your other post. Great TT and cartridge, associated gear.....be patient with setup and you will be rewarded with lovely sounds.

Regarding your 30yr old records, there are record cleaning services that will treat them like gold for about $5 a record to clean them squeaky clean. Long term goal would be a RCM if you start hitting the used bins.....
