Default Clapton at M S G

Contemplating going to see EC in Oct at MSG in NYC. For those that have been there how is the venue? If the sound is terrible not sure I would want to outlay the cost for a bad experience. Have been to many stadium type venues and none have been a good experience.

You won’t be disappointed. Madison Square Garden is one of the best venues to see a concert. I seen Clapton plenty of times their including Cream and have always been thrilled with the performance and the sound.

I don’t like the overall sound experience at MSG, sounds terrible with echo everywhere from ceiling reflections, etc.

Hmmm.. Mike, I’m sure you’ve been to more than one concert but I have to ask. Where do you usually have your seats?

I only ask because I don’t share your experience. Maybe the seats up on top that are closer to the ceiling might have the echo that you speak of.

Seats left are either high, or side/behind stage or +$500. May just take a chance anyway.

I always sit behind the console with the engineer, assuming he will fix all sound mistakes from the venue.
