Just moved from a Yaqin 100b to a Cronus Magnum.
WOW!
What a difference.
And tube rolling does make a difference.
I can change tubes and hear a difference immediately!

I'm drive my Focal Sopra 2 with TeddyPardo Integrated amplifier i80a (https://www.teddypardo.com/amplifiers/i80a.html)- no problem - very like the sound.
For HT setup (Focal Electra SR 1000 BE) I use an Anthem 1020 - amazing and immersive HT sound

Update, running the 1008be2’s with a Primaluna Dialogue Premium integrated.
Even better. 4 ohm taps.

Running Focal Sopra No2’s with McIntosh C52 Preamp and MC452 amp. Speaker cables are Nordost Heimdall 2. Sounds excellent. The Sopra’s are a good match with McIntosh. I’m really, really happy [emoji2].

Just received a Mark Levinson 534 to run my Sopra 3s. The bass has really improved along with the rest of the sound. Even though the sopras are fairly easy to drive I think they benefit from a high current amp.

My Sopra n2’s are driven by a Simaudio 700i, Neo260D CD player.
Currently using Discovery Essence Balanced interconnects and Essential Speaker Cables.
I’m planning to somehow use Stillpoints Ultra SS with the Sopra’s if I can figure out how to get the factory spikes out without damaging the Speakers.

I have same issue. I'm also not willing to tip the speaker on it's side or risk cracking the glass base.

In fact I am re-thinking trying to purchase the Sopra's as I am enjoying the 1028's a bunch.

I am looking at the same combination : Moon 340i/280D with Focal 1028BE's. Are you getting any kind or brightness/harshness in the highs? What DAC are you using? Having read some comments about the hyper resolution and the tendency of the Beryllium tweeter to get bright, I am a little bit hesitant. I listen to a lot of rock, punk, metal, electronica and indie lo-fi stuff...

I drive my 1028BE's with a McIntosh MC252/C47 combo. Excellent resolution from top to bottom. Although it's very revealing of upstream source deficiencies, I don't consider the Beryllium tweeter to be harsh or bright. It's a great improvement over the previous generation Electra line's tweeter.
