The founder of Tower Records passed away Sunday. Thanks for the music Russ.

Amazing what an empire Mr.Solomon built after opening the first store is Sacramento. The list of countries with Tower Records presence was quite impressive. Still remember the great feeling of shopping for music at the Tower Records and leaving the store with some new albums in hand barely having the patience to get home to listen. Thanks for all the great music Mr.Solomon. RIP...

My fondest memories were going to Tower Records on Broadway (across the street from Russ’ first store) Christmas Day.

Tower made it better, it was a staple between here in Seattle and down on the Hollywood Strip with girls on each arm buying cassette tapes, those where some fun days...
