An excellent review and the assessment of the D3's subjective qualities Vs the older models is very much on the money.

Measurements wise, other than the new bass alignment which has resulted in less mid bass output, the measured on-axis response above 300Hz is very similar to the old 802 D1/D2.

The waterfall response really shows off the cleanliness and speed of the continuum driver

I got it custom made from timbernation, but be warned it was sort of a nightmare when you want it custom made, I am not sure I would do it again.
