As much as I've always loved the Corvette my own ownership experience has never been a long term one and I've owned 4 Corvettes. My own Z06 back in '01 was a terrible example. I got rid of it with only 1500 miles on the odometer. To add insult to the injury with all the problems I was experiencing, after calling at least 6 different dealers in the area, none had a Corvette certified mechanic. That was the last straw for me. I'm sure it is different today. I hope!

Yep........ the litigants "might" get some relief, but the law firm will 'take it to the bank'. I don't even bother sending back the postcard from law firms that sue big corporations for 'stock fraud' and other BS. For owning 1000 shares of company X I'll collect $3.50 and the law firm will collect $25mil. Total sham. No wonder there are so many attorney jokes.

Fast forward to the C7. My friend who is now on his 3rd Corvette (you know who you are ) Had one C7 replaced because evidently the rear differential was somehow bone dry from the factory? The other one he stopped by to show me gave me a flashback to my own experience as the weather stripping fell into the cargo bay once the rear hatch/window was lifted on his brand new C7.... I love the Corvette as much as any other Corvette enthusiast but... I'll admire them from a distance thank you.

Serge you know I have had several porsche 911’s and would never have considered a vette until the C7 came out. The problem with my 991 was it was boring to drive . I enjoyed my couple of 997’s more than the 991 but they were all low torque . You had to rev the engine over 4000 rpm to get anything out of the car. The 911 is also very impractical, it has no trunk to speak of, no spare and no run flats so you can’t really go on a trip with it . The C7 ZR1 and Z06 makes a 911 s look like a toy in performance and handling departments. I have no doubt the C8 will be even better.

David, yes, as have I, multiple 911's of various sorts from your basic C2S to GT3RS with a turbo in between and have owned 4 Corvettes as well. Which appeals more is ultimately a personal choice and preference and let's not deny the price difference either which is obviously in favor of the Corvette. The C7 has definitely come a long way in terms of interior trim quality and does offer great performance. I sincerely hope the C8 will be even better and have no serious issues.

I seriously doubt a Z06 owner that is unfortunate to be in the situation of where he is having problems with his not so inexpensive toy will share your views here Glen. Having said that no doubt the lawsuits are always very rewarding for the attorneys involved who like to get paid for their services just as we all do. Where would we be if it wasn't for attorneys to keep things in balance? That goes both ways of course and it all depends on what side of the table you and your attorney are sitting...

LOL, who doesn't know about the ZO6 'overheating issue'. Like other performance cars haven't had their teething issues !!

the fact that you've owned 4 Vettes , watched that video and had to ask the question speaks volumes. I'll give you examples of what I mean......

1) they speak of C6 roof panel issues yet the video shows a C5

2) air bag non-deployment issues, video shows the Pace cat at this years Indy car race @ Belle Isle where the Vette impacted the wall and the air bags DEPLOYED !

Again, I'm not disputing the underlying issue(s), rather the sensationalized 'BS' manner of which 'you' were duped.

It’s the sensationalized manner of the video that caused me to not even turn on the volume or watch more than half of it.

I am just so sick of that type of ‘news’ reporting that I have zero time for it.

I had a car 35 yrs ago that didn’t start and I now want to sue the manufacturer for pain and suffering because I was five minutes late for work and was fired.
