If you had described the color contrast on the vehicle, I wouldn't have been convinced, but that's the most refined looking S class I've ever seen.

Sad the V12 is going the way of the dinosaurs. As far as the car itself, not my taste and the AMG cars depreciate faster than a sailor spends his pay on a shore leave in Hoochie Coochie town.

Grabbing the number 1 and 2 spot for most depreciated cars are the AMG variants. https://jalopnik.com/the-most-deprec...-years-5982789

I doubt it's the last hurrah of the V12. It won't be mass produced but I'm pretty sure that we will continue to see limited edition V12 from some manufacturers (ferrari, lambo...).
If you look at the success of the aventador, there is a market for those cars.

Looks very nice although I'm not the biggest fan of the dark gold trim. That being said it does look fantastic.
