You're not alone, I'm following your drama like the Cavs beating the Warriors, like Jon Snow (no spoilers) Ramsey Bolton on GOT!!

Lol

It's nice to have friends! And what an episode GoT was tonight. Can I do two kid quotes on one thread? Oh yeah.

Epic! And congrats to Cleveland.

I doubt that the inserts are different even if the base is. The owners manual is common to both speakers. I'd make a modest wager that both models take the same Stillpoints.

Confirmed: the Salon2 and studio2 bases are the same part. The Stillpoints for one will therefore work with the other. How do I know this? Just trust me!

Thanks. So if I order the Studio 2 adapter from Ivan I'll be set for the Salon 2?

That is correct. The base they are shipping me is called out as "Studio2/Salon2 base." Can't wait till it gets here. Never wanted a base so badly in my life.

Hmmm seems I recall sayin that you should contact Ivan to get Stillpoints inserts for the U5's. Ivan told me many months ago they're the same as was noted here on the forum the manual is for both speakers. The 5's make a wonderful difference up and down the spectrum. So beautifully detached and huge soundstage. Gotta love it.

Before I contemplate them I have to be able to screw 'em in first. That's why they're sending me a replacement base. It's a warranty item. That help explain the base talk? I'm good at base talk, mind, but I don't want to get banned after such a short stay!
