Looks like Thomas & Froome will duke it out until the end. The next couple of stages should tell. Only way to make up 1:39 will be in the mountains.

It does seem to be those two battling now. I really thought the other teams would be stronger against Sky this year. Quintana was a no show this year in the Alps? The Pyrenees will be a showdown, but will it be an epic fight or just a ride into Paris this week?

Froome and Thomas will have to keep a close eye on Tom Dumoulin this week as well. He still looks very strong.

Cheers,

Scott

It should be real theater, so hang on to your hi fi chairs! And I've got a few days off to watch it too. I've bimbled in the 'nees many times so it will be nice to see old views.

Other than the pepper-spray from over-zealous cops and the couple of exciting crashes it was pretty staid for a mountain stage. Unlucky Yates on the descent. I would have been un-nerved long before that. Those were some very tight hair-pin corners on that descent. Only two more mountain stages. Wonder if Froome feels he can make up the 1:39 in the time-trail? To say nothing of Dumoulin, the time trial specialist among them.

Default Stage 17

Wow now that is how a tour stage should be. Quintana showed up today. That stage reminded me of Lucien Van Impe, Andy Hampsten, and Marco Pantani just climbing away from everyone else and easily winning the mountain stage. It's most likely going to be Thomas for the overall bar a crash or terrible TT. Thoughts and opinions anyone?

Great ride by Quintana. Another great effort by team Sky and Thomas. First crack we have seen from Froome. Still some racing left and Dumoulin is still dangerous.

It seems that ESPN does not cover cycling? They have NCAA Softball, NCAA Women's Basketball and E Sports. They show WSOP like it's a freaking sport but no coverage of what is arguably one of the greatest endurance sports in the world?
Maybe it's my settings. For a while, it would only show the page in Spanish. I was stuck with ESPN Desportes de Mexico.
