^ As you can see Toccata, the outriggers "frame" as you refer to it is an integral part of the structure of the speaker. So no, you cannot, nor should you try to remove them

Antipop, Im sure your right. The Velodyne set up was the thing I had at hand. I am not familiar with REW but I have bought Room Analyzer from XTZ.
XTZ Room analyzer II Pro - XTZ Hifi With this, I should be able to get a better picture of my room and the acoustic situation. I have not opened it yet. I'll probably wrap it in and put it under the christmas tree . Last edited by bigblue; 12-21-2013 at 07:42 PM. |

Hello,
I demo'd the Olympica 3 and The Cremona M side by side yesterday with a friend. The Olympica 3 goes lower but in all other aspects both my friend and I prefered The Cremona. More open, detailed and airy. I own The Cremona's and am thinking of moving up to The Elipsa SE. Does anyone here have experience with The Elipsa SE? I also demo'd The Futura also.... WOW!!! Thanks |

Interesting words pkelly1504, do you (or anybody else) have any experience with the version before the M, the original Cremona, and how they compare to each other? I too am going to try the Olympica 3, but I can't compare them side by side... Maybe I should just stay with my original Cremona...
In "WOW" you want to say the Futura is an other story? Please explain yourself |

Why is that, John? The MLs not dynamic enough for your taste or just itching to try something new?

pkelly, I was surprised to read how you found the speakers when auditioning them. I'd say the Cremona is warmer and less open than the Olympica that the latter is more in line with the new S.F. sound. Maybe the Olympicas was not broken in?
My hifi-buddy own a pair of S.F. Futura (with Krell and MSB). They sound absolutely stunning and we both think that the Olympica shares its voicing (top and mid). But Futura presents a larger image and fuller body. Anyway, one should always go with the one that sounds best in the buyers ears |
