Seems to be a wonderful tuner for sure. Does it employ DSP as the T-1200 and MR87 do? Does it have a digital out? As I understand it both the MR87 and T-1200 can pass a PCM signal to a DAC (for example my D1100 preamp) where it can be converted to analog by a really top quality DAC. MR87 has two digital outs (1 optical and 1 coaxial). T-1200 has 1 coaxial digital out.

I will be using the optical out in my system.

Today, I effortlessly set 20 pre-set stations; all showing signal strength of 4/5 (or higher)

This is more than double of my MR88 which has a roof mounted ST-2 antenna.

The T-1200 is an old technology, because it doesn't support DAB/DAB+. On the other hand, is there any high end tuner that supports digital radio?

or something with 6-elements, or more. I have a pair of the FM6 yagi's in parallel the crawl-space above my garage. Even the FM6 is small enough it can be mounted by a small bolt to the ceiling and rotated by hand to 'point' it towards whatever station you might be listening to. Generally only for us serious FM listeners.

DAB/DAB+ is, unfortunately, like HD radio.

Why not? They see a market (which they know and understand) and are filling the void left behind by most major manufactures who could care less for analog FM.
