Default Best way to clean classic 3 platter?

was dusting my classic 3 the other day and took off the belt to do so.
the belt went party under the platter and touched the spindle, where it got nicely oiled up and when i pulled it up, managed to get some oil on the top of the platter. i wiped it just with the dry cloth but it spread it round a bit.
any tips in what i can use to give the platter a good clean without destroying the beautiful finish?
just wet cloth? or anything else?

Isopropyl alcohol works well.
Buy an alcohol swab or two from any chemist.
