I do feel ready for some sort of physical activity. My cardiologist would like that as well, and suggested walking (when the sun is out especially; vitamin D is good for the immune system). But that would violate the quarantine and my fairly conservative COVID doctor (the term is used as an identifier) wants me to stay inside until I am tested. I haven't started to fidget yet, but it won't be long before that's an issue, in all probability. I'll see if I can't talk her into letting go outside (with a mask, of course) during our follow-up on Wednesday.

Besides, I'll need to be in good enough shape that I can get my new turntable up the stairs when it gets here. I need to start now!

I got the all-clear to discontinue the quarantine on Wednesday, and have made several forays outside since. I'm feeling pretty good, though depending on what I do I can still get a bit winded. I'll try to get some longer walks in this week, and next weekend do my own grocery shopping, full-blown. I don't want to do anything like the long walks I was used to just yet, at least not with the mask on; maybe I'd wear it down and then pull it up when someone's approaching. The mask is warm, especially if the weather is.

I did some pushups a couple of times this week, 4 sets with the first two on my knees and the last two on my toes (the standard version). My lats were sore the day after the first sets; a bit more so two days later, but I did the same four sets anyway. Not that sore afterwards, a good sign.

I forgot to mention that I had a second COVID-19 test on Thursday. Since the virus is unpredictable, it's possible to have lingering symptoms after the virus is gone; it's also possible to still have virus after symptoms are gone.

The CDC’s website says it’s uncertain whether one can be re-infected after a negative test. South Korea has reported a positive/negative/positive sequence in a significant number of patients. The WHO says there’s not enough evidence to understand why some people experience reactivation of the virus after recovery. US health experts suggest that a viral reactivation is unlikely, but rather that it never left their system; it lingered, and they were never fully cured. I don't know where I stand, so I got tested again.

Got the test results today, spoke with my doctor. I tested negative. A follow-up is set for next week.
