And did you get to hear the TJ Music 45 tubes that DH bought? He seems to be thrilled with them.

How do they sound comparable to other Inspire amps? Same, better, different, anything you can share... thanks.

Hey decooney, considering my close personal friendship with Dennis, I probably should refrain from being a reviewer of his products on this forum...
I will say, the mono blocks sound fabulous!

Finally broke down and bought a pair of KT150s. One day sale just $117 for a matched pair.

I thought their design looked interesting in pics, but in person I'm not a big fan. Just too odd.

Stuck them in my amp, gave them 5 minutes to warm up and break-in . They sound very good right out of the box. Lots of definition from lows to highs. Vocals are clear and have great separation from instruments. Very easy to understand the words, seemingly a bit easier than with my other tubes. Will have to run some comparisons once these run in a bit. Good powerful bass line.

Not as smooth and romantic as some of my other output tubes. But not overly forward and in my face.

Have turned up the volume to louder than I normally listen and couldn't detect any clipping or compression. Put on John Fogerty's live album, Premonition, and it was like I was at the concert. Very clear, lots of punch.
