Ron, could you post a picture from the listening point ? That huge glass window is not helping you with imaging.
I believe the MC275 to be one of the best looking amp |

Georges,
I did take one but the ipad camera couldn't fit everything in. Give me a day or two and I'll happily upload some more. There are thick drapes that cover those windows. Does that help? Yes, the 275 is a beauty! thanks, ron |

You can try with the drapes open or close and you will notice the difference. |

For the past two mornings, when I awoke, I thought to myself that I feel so happy to walk into the living room and see the GMs. I never thought this with the Liutos. The wood finish is to die for. Even if the sound were poor, I would still love them.
Okay, no new listening notes yet, but I do have more pictures (climbed up on the sofa for some), and for those interested in how I'm setting up the speakers in the room, I've even included three "pictures" of the room I made using home interior software. I did these almost 4 years ago before we bought our condo to visualize things. I even managed to place a photo (wedding) of my wife in a kimono in the living room to greet people. So , welcome Our walls are concrete and floor wood-covered concrete. The walls are independent of the neighbors and separated by a meter or two of open space to ventilate the building, which is appropriately called, "The Wind." My system is FAR from perfect. I'm open to suggestions. thanks ron |

I wanted to hear the sound first with my Kubala cables. I might just leave work early today and hook up those Anacondas to the GMs (Guarneri Mementos). I should return these to you as quickly as possible, but I will be sad to see them go. How was your flight? Are you enjoying the day in Chiang Mai? It's sunny and warm in Bangkok, of course ron |

Very nice appartment and you can thank your wife for the greeting
I don't know if you have the room but I would put the system where the sofa is and the sofa in place of the system. But I think that would be a problem with the door... I would also try to play with speaker placement and push them closer to the wall to reinforce the bass. You should be able to have a better sound with those speakers that with the Liuto. I also used to do the same with my Elipsa. I couldn't believe they were in my living room. They are truly beautiful speakers. |
