Default Review of EMM Labs DAC2X from UltraAudio.com...

...and it was awarded the Slect Component award: SoundStageXtreme.com | UltraAudio.com | EMM Labs DAC2X Digital-to-Analog Converter

Thanks Cyril,

I like this quote.

So it should come as no surprise that the DAC2X simply sounded better than the K-03. In my room, the EMM Labs was quieter, more detailed, and had better transient precision, cleaner leading edges, and better decays than the Esoteric. It also offered a more fully developed midrange. For example, Aretha Franklin’s voice in “Drinking Again” had more warmth and richness with the DAC2X.

All of us DAC2X owners agree.

You know, there are many homely, I dare say ugly women with amazing voices who never made it past the recording studio. Lets hope someone finds this attractive.

And being ahead of the curve makes it more satisfying.

It's ok, the ugly ones try harder.

Actually, now that I took the time to read some reviews, this is a very interesting piece of gear. Way out of my budget, but I sure like, and found interesting about EMM Labs...

I guess it doesn't have to sell itself on pretty. It's got more than enough of the qualities that count.

Hi Kev,

I still plan on hearing MSB but it might take a while. I love my DAC2X for now.
