Congratulations David. First impressions are interesting, but long-term listening behaviors and impressions are what's really important. We'll stay tuned.

As I mentioned a number of times, one of the greatest benefits you'll get from having the 501s is that you will stop wasting time wondering if you should get them. I haven't been motivated to seriously look or think about another amp since I got my 501s.

Oh, ok....I had noticed the Avatar, but hadn't noticed the signature line. It wasn't so much the 7 VU meters I noticed on the Avatar (though I did note several meters), it was the larger display that caught my eye!
