Krell s 1500 on the used market for about 3.5k 150w into 8 ohm 300w into 4 ohm . Richard aka Lu jr. really likes his ! I have a local dealer that carries both and they seem to like the krell better

I have heard this little guy and am really impressed !

Thanks for the additional suggestions. I'm looking for something with exceptional build quality, so for now I am not considering Emotiva. I know they've improved, but I'd rather pay the extra $ for the piece of mind.

I'm still seriously considering the MC205, but I have to be honest that I was never overly impressed with my MC202 when I had it running my fronts in my HT setup. That's my main hesitancy in pulling the trigger on the MC205.

I have a lead on a Classe CAV-180, and there's a Krell TAS listed on the 'Gon from around the same price as the KAV 1500. Both are Class A amps, which really interests me. The CAV-180 is much cheaper though, so if I can swing it I may go that route.

Decided to take a chance on a Parasound A51. Got a good deal from Audio Advisor, and with their 30 day return policy I figured I'd give it a try.

Does anyone have experience with a Parasound 5250v.2? Would it actually be an audible improvement over my Sony 6400ES AVR? (I envision using the Sony as Pre/pro into a more powerful amp.)
