Today's thought: Should I purchase a MA2275 or MEN220 and a PAIR of MC275?
Loved what the improvements the MCD500 made and now I want more McIntosh! |

I'd go with dual MC275-VI's. How could you not love them?

My vote goes for a pair of MC275's. Save the money used for a MEN220 and put it towards a C2300.

Definitely a pair of 275 Mk6's. Paired with Klipschorns? That would be insanely good. Forget the MEN220 for now. Are you thinking of the MEN220 for room correction or bass management? If room correction (it's great - but money can be better spent elsewhere for now). If bass management - well, then, maybe. But if it were me, I would DEFINITELY get the 275 mk6's (PURE MAGIC HERE), and a Classe' CP-800 (if your need is bass management for your F113's). Yes, yes, yes...I originally said not to get the CP-800, but darn it, that thing does everything and now that I own one (again!) - I LOVE it for USB sources. I had it paired with my big Daddy 2301's today for over 3 hours. WOW....it sounded great! It was right in between the sound of my C1000T and C1000P. Warmer than the C1000P, but not as warm as the C1000T - IMO. I really did like the combo. The only down side was the inability to trigger the amps from the CP-800. All that bending down to turn on the amps! GEESH! LOL!

Correction - ONE 275 mk6 + a CP-800. You don't "need" two 275's with 104db efficiency. 5 watts will blow you out of the room.....so 75 should be scads.
