The Denon IP Scaler is great for sources such as FOXTEL IQ2. You may wish to experiment with the MX121 in that regard.
Thanks Steve... I'm still playing around with it. I'll have more time tonight hopefully

1. Pass-through (from your MC pre/pro's HDMI Monitor Setup).
* Or go directly to your Front Projector's (JVC) HDMI input from your Oppo's HDMI output (one of the two).
2. And just let your Oppo video processor do its job (set it "manually" to 1080p Output Resolution, and 1080p 24 Output set to On). ...From the Video Setup menu.

Furthermore, in your Oppo BDP-95's Video Setup:
- TV Aspect Ratio = Wide/Auto
- DVD 24p Conversion = On
- Output Resolution = 1080p, and NOT Auto (important).

And, from the HDMI Options (again, in the Video Setup menu):
- Color Space = RGB
- Deep Color = Off

_______________

In the Network Setup:
- BD-Live Network Access = Off

May I ask you for a recommendation on converters, make and type ect ?
There are many out there. I've tried a generic brand "PRO2", from Radio Parts/Shack. A high bandwidth uncompressed signal extender pair costs around $300 sender/receiver. Some have IR built in. I prefer to hide these inside the wall/ceiling cavity. Depending on the application, you could use a nice faceplate with the extender behind it. Don't forget to plan for the DC power requirement & if you need to run a length of ULV 2 pair, be sure that it is shielded too. The stuff they use for fire protection systems is what I like to use. All the units I've come across have the power requirement on the RX side. Don't ask me why, I would prefer the power on the transmit side instead.

There is a product that has been released that is GB switchable from 16 sources up to 200 displays. Many-to-Many.

The following pair is one-to-one

HDMIC6PRO HDMI OVER SINGLE CAT6 EXTENDER
UNCOMPRESSED WITH IR 3D

The HDMI over CAT6 Uncompressed Extender sends HDMI signals over one CAT6 cable -- up to 100 metres -- and supports 3D HDMI signals. DVI-D Computer video can also be transmitted with the use of a DVI-to-HDMI cable or adapter.

Features

Audio and video are transmitted digitally over CAT6cable without signal loss.
Single Link Range: 100 meters with 1080P/60 and 2000x4000.
Compliant with HDCP 2.0 and DVI1.1 standards
Supports digital video formats in 480i, 480p, 720p,1080i, 1080p
Supports PCM 2 Ch audio, 5.1, 7.1, DTS-HD, Dolby audio format.
Supports IR Pass through function and control of HDMI source devices (set-top box, DVD player and Blu-ray DVDPlayer) in Receiver by its IR remote controller.

Why are you recommending these settings if the player/display benefits have not been established? No panacea to the symptom here.... Are you familiar with Trevor's JVC?

I always do it for free with a purchase of a new pj. But I can understand your frustration.

After taking on board the suggestions on here I have made a few changes to the set up. The ghosting and halo effects didn't appear during tonight's movie. However, I believe I eliminated this from setting the projector into THX mode prior to making the other changes. Unfortunately the THX setting is a little dull in colour!

More to do...

The THX has the best color gamut of all the settings, but depending on your screen size, the luminance of the gamut can be way off.

What size and type of screen your are using?

123 inch Stewart Screen (see signature). It might be a case of me getting use to the new setting?

Sorry, on my iphone app I can't see your gear. What pj did you have before? If you're coming fron another technology, it can be dificult to adjust. Myself can only get used to Dlp, but I also sell JVC.

I only had the JVC, but it was in DYNAMIC mode for some reason which is much richer in colour. I never selected that so not sure how it changed? Through mains power on and off?

Sorry, I forget about the app version. Using the iPhone app, you can see the full thread with signatures if you scroll to the top of the page and tap on the thread title (which will be in a bold black font)
