Welcome and please post pics in the whaddya got thread. Interested in your thoughts of the differences between the genesis speakers and the RS1bs.

In some respects the infinity's are better- better microdynamics. There is a smoothness and clarity that is in the Genesis. I have both& listen to both. . The RS1b is easier to place in a room vs Genesis 200"s. There is a pair of Infinity IRS for sale $9,000. They would be a catch. The kappas were Arnies attenpt to improve lower mid base & dipole design. VERY hard on amps. You would need a class A stable @ 1ohm-- something like Denon POA 8000 monoblock/Pass Lab. I have been searching for replacement/alternative brand speakers-- i have listened to wilson, sound lab, B&W, Focal, Sonus Faber, Dynaudio, Magico into the $125,000 dollar range--- none can touch the speakers. Sure, there may be an element that may be a touch better, but as a package. Arnie Nudell is a genius. My only wish is he get back in the design game.

Where are the IRS's for sale for $9,000? I am sure they need to be restored but may be worth it.

Oh, That is a bit high for Beta's. Retail was $12,000 and they have frequently been available in the $4-5.5k range. A set of NOS Beta's that hadn't been used recently went for $6.5k. IRS V's are a different story. That is why I was surprised.
