Default Are XLR interconnect sold as pairs?
Are XLR interconnect sold as pairs? They're always photographed in pairs, whereas all the other cables are photo'd individually except speaker wire.

"Standard length of each pair of cables is 1 metre."
But on music direct it doesn't make note that this is a pair.



I found out today my audioquest mackenzie cables have a flaw, I don't know if it affects sound quality enough to matter, but it does send a different level of signal to the amp meters. The right side shows more power in the amp meter; swapping the L and R cable makes the left side show more power.

In almost 99.9% of cases, XLR interconnects are sold in pairs such as the Shunyata Deltas you have pictured.

The only XLR per se sold separately are AES/EBU digital cables.

Have Redco make you what ever you want.

I use Mogami 2549. Excellent quality balanced audio cable. You can use Neutrik or Switchcraft XLR connectors.

I worked in recording studios and in live sound for over 30 years. Used hundreds if not thousands of balanced cables.

You might/probably have one defective cable. If one conductor (hot or cold) is not attached (loose connection, bad solder joint etc), you lose 6 dB of signal level (half the voltage).

Open the XLR connectors and inspect the wiring at both ends on the cable that is low in level compared to the other one.

All companies that sell cable will sell in singles, to my knowledge. They are pictured and marketed as pairs only because that is the normal application.
