Best: Esoteric, TAD, Shunyata, Elrod (too big for fancy packaging but his hand packing is without compare).

Very Good+: Legacy, Classe, Isotek, Cybershaft, Bybee, early Edge NL Amps

Average: Purepower,...

I bet they were. Components weighing in at hundreds of pounds are a whole different ballgame to box and crate.

My Dynaudio Special 40 were packed nice. I'd say the Focal packing is good too. My Sim Audio stuff came in lots of foam and soft bags. Blue Sound Node 2 package was totally overkill.

Bad packing goes to most things from eBay and Audiogon. Love my Moon P3 dearly but it was thrown in a box with peanuts when I got it off Audiogon.

That's impressive to say the least.

Best:

1) E.A.T. E-Flat - Arrived palatized in a furniture grade birch wood crate.
2) McIntosh - Pretty much goes without saying on everything they make.
3) Oppo - It's very obvious they take pride in their packaging.
4) Magnepan - Ingeniously packaged.
5) Woo Audio WA6

Worst:

As much as it pains me to say so - Canton. Their boxing probably works well for their smaller speaker line, but my huge Vento Reference 1's deserved far better treatment. Canton had to replace a grille because it came loose during shipping and got hung up on a boxing staple that wasn't fully crimped.

I do like the skid they came strapped to though. High marks for that.

Best:
SRA- Wooden crates and well-packed inside.
Oppo- Enough said.

Worst:
None stand out, but there are several that should up their game, especially on the high end.
