I'm a big dude. 6'4 and weighing in at about 320. I need a 3XL. ... You're a big guy too James. Let's hope they don't ever stick us next to each other on a plane.

Has there been any further revelations on upgrading from a squared to the new cubed versions? I know a price was communicated but then a post killing that do to issues.

Yes the certification and safety people are saying any upgrade has to be re-certified and that is really cost prohibited so it does not look like we will be able to offer upgrades. james |

Thanks for the response, that is too bad. Sorry for the bad grammar, could it be "due" to posting with an IPhone?

Hi Folks,
Please see the attached link to a review on our new 4B Cubed amplifier from Positive Feedback Magazine. Favourite Quote: Parting Thoughts The sonic advances achieved with the new input stage have resulted in a singularity of sorts. This damn thing has perhaps the sweetest, purest top end I have ever encountered in a solid state amp at anywhere near the price (and way beyond), and a tonal finesse that rivals a fine modern tube amp, especially from the mid-bass and into the lower treble. Coupled with the amp's iron-fisted bass range and superbly low noise floor—a combination which allows micro and macro dynamic nuances to shine unimpeded—and you have one helluva performer. http://positive-feedback.com/reviews...wer-amplifier/ james |

Is there really anything to be gained moving from SST2 to Cubed? Lowering the already extremely low and inaudible noise in the SST2 is not going to let you 'hear' more is it?
No harm upgrading of course but you have to pay more though. Sure there are already plenty of good reviews but I have yet to see any with objective comparison and measurements... Call me a sceptic! |
