Default What is your preferred media format?

When shopping for your music collection, what is your preferred format?

It would be interesting to know the latest trends, especially given the lossless downloadable options available of late.

Feel free to add to this thread discussion eg. if you need to poll "Other"

Also comment if you are ritualistic in the manner in which you need to manage your media eg. CD Rip to FLAC, the feeling & involvement of flipping vinyl

By the way, it is multiple choice, so it is OK if you do not have a single preferred format because of your setup(s) eg. vinyl resurgence, transitioning technology/sources, content availability, convenience over resolution.

CD - Usually ripped to my MS300 on arrival and then processed through my Mx150 DAC. with very satisfying music for my ears.

With 20 choices, and potentially a thousand brief replies to this thread, how about setting up a poll.

A few AA list members will know how to set one up. A recent AA poll was cool as you could see how the voting was going pretty much real time.

A poll would serve as a useful reference, and also be a good snapshot in time.

If its worth it, someone might like to assist.

Anthony

I'm not really sure if that is what MYPAL wants to do, as this is his thread. But in case he does, here's the information on how to xo it...

I'll 2nd that. The stats would offer long term consideration & generate interesting discussion.
