I always question ones agenda, so here's info about this group —

Founded by left-wing activist and former Presidential candidate Ralph Nader, the U.S. Public Interest Research Group is a 501(c)(4) organization that oversees a federation of state progressive advocacy groups also known as “PIRGs.”

Ah yes, that left wing activist behind consumer protection legislation including the Clean Water Act, the Freedom of Information Act, the Consumer Product Safety Act, the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act, the Whistleblower Protection Act, and the National Traffic and Motor Vehicle Safety Act.

Staying on the "glyphosate" topic and the organization that did the testing.

Who are the major fundraisers/donators of U.S. PIRG?

Here's what AG Daily says —

This week a new report published by the advocacy group U.S. PIRG tested five wines and 15 beers and found traces of glyphosate in 19 of 20 of them — even organic ones. It’s just the kind of thing mainstream media outlets love to latch onto and make farmers out to be bad guys. U.S. PIRG itself argues that there needs to be a ban on the weed killer and it fully blames agriculture for the glyphosate found in beer and wine.

But there’s always a “but.”

The study does admit that the levels of glyphosate found are not enough to be dangerous, though they claim to still be “concerning.”

William Reeves, toxcologist for Bayer, puts the numbers into perspective.

“Assuming the greatest value reported, 51.4 ppb, is correct, a 125-pound adult would have to consume 308 gallons of wine per day, every day for life to reach the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency’s glyphosate exposure limit for humans,” he said “To put 308 gallons into context, that would be more than a bottle of wine every minute, for life, without sleeping.”

Even those highest findings of glyphosate that was found in wine, 51.4 parts per billion, is far lower than what the activist Environmental Working Group said they found in Cheerios, roughly 500 ppb. And the EWG were widely criticized for making a big deal out of levels that were far lower than what every regulatory body recognizes as significant (and that includes the state of California, which already had stricter limits than most other entities).

In their test results U.S. PIRG argued that,”While glyphosate is found in many places, for many years scientists were uncertain if glyphosate was a public health problem. But that changed in 2015, when the World Health Organization found that glyphosate is a probable carcinogen. In 2017, the state of California also decided to list glyphosate as a probable carcinogen based on the WHO study.”

How many red flags did you count in that last statement? We’re sure you didn’t stop at one.

A major part of U.S. PIRG’s narrative is centered around the 2015 WHO study and California listing glyphosate as a probable carcinogen. This is the same study that has received so much backlash from not revealing all relevant and correct information at the time of publishing.

In this article, Farm Babe explains what happened during those findings. Essentially, an epidemiologist from the U.S. Cancer Institute, Aaron Blair, saw important data that proved glyphosate had no link to cancer. However, he did not bring this information up to the 17 specialists who led the research, and excuses were made as to why this data wasn’t considered.

Following IARC’s findings, many government agencies and organizations opposed the conclusion, including the WHO. They contradicted their own subcommittee’s findings. You would think that other agencies or researchers would no longer use the study, but since it fits their narrative the do not care about the numerous corrected findings.

So what does this all mean for the scary glyphosate found in beer and wine? That someone is trying to capitalize on the fear being spread about Roundup. The study was released on the same day as a federal judge was reviewing the Monsanto case. Coincidence? I think not.

For the future, don’t worry if your beer or wine has glyphosate in it, just be worried on how many you drink of the actual known carcinogen — alcohol.

Ron... Bayer??? Seriously? You'd actually take seriously what anyone from Bayer would have to say? Lest one forgets...

This article presents an overlooked case of research misconduct and violations of basic principles of medical and business ethics. When Bayer's Cutter Laboratories realized that their blood products, Factor VIII and IX or antihemophiliac factor (AHF), were contaminated with human immunodeficiency virus (HIV), the financial investment in the product was considered too high to destroy the inventory. Cutter misrepresented the results of its own research and sold the contaminated AHF to overseas markets in Asia and Latin America without the precaution of heat treating the product recommended for eliminating the risk. As a consequence, hemophiliacs who infused the HIV-contaminated Factor VIII and IX tested positive for HIV and developed AIDS.

That's not to mention that Bayer acquired Monsanto... Bayer has a long and provocative past. While I understand that the Big Pharma is needed to cure all kinds of ailments, I can't help to despise their business antics in general. Of course Bayer/IG Farber has a long, dark history.

Bayer’s new deal to buy Monsanto breaks records not only due to its size but because of its evil smell – and not only due to Monsanto’s reputation for deadly trails of everything from disappearing wild flowers and butterflies to poverty-stricken family farmers forced to buy its seeds and pesticides.

Bayer, perhaps best known for its aspirins or other useful medicines, also has a trail marked with death, but in far, far greater numbers. It was Bayer, together with two other chemical giants, BASF and Hoechst, which developed the terrible chlorine gas used in World War I. In 1925, the three formed a giant cartel, IG Farben, which became the world’s leader in pharmaceuticals, dyes, and chemicals.

IG Farben also had another interest in Auschwitz. For those too old, too small, or too weak to work, it had Zyklon B, designed and produced by an IG Farben subsidiary, Degesch.

When their conquest plans collapsed and their genocide was ended, the world expected that such men would be punished, and in August 1947 the U.S.-organized Nuremberg War Criminal Tribunal against IG Farben began, with U.S. prosecutor Telford Taylor stating: “These IG Farben criminals, not the lunatic Nazi fanatics, are the main war criminals. If the guilt of these criminals is not brought to light and if they are not punished, they will represent a much greater threat to the future peace of the world than Hitler if he were still alive.”

But the atmosphere in Germany had changed; old foes were replaced by new ones. In July 1948, after nearly a year, 10 of the 24 defendants were acquitted and 13, though found guilty on some of the charges of mass murder, slavery, and crimes against humanity, were sentenced to mild prison terms of one-and-a-half to eight years, including time already served.

Today’s Bayer

Those wartime IG Farben men are all dead, but their companies flourish. And Bayer has been accused in recent years of unethical medical experiments, selling drugs shown to be risky, hindering developing countries from developing vital medications, and using imported materials produced by child labour.

The most serious charge, perhaps, is that a Bayer subsidiary, H.C. Starck, was partly responsible for the long, bloody civil war in the Democratic Republic of Congo, which involved the winning of various minerals but above all the valuable coltran, of which it is the main producer.

Until now, sibling BASF was the largest chemical firm in the world. If the deal holds, it will now be overtaken by Bayer-Monsanto.

Any hopes that Bayer will somehow be bettered in its ways under the influence of Monsanto seem at the least unrealistic.

Keep in mind that Glyphosate is not an "Accute" toxin, it is a "chronic" toxin that accumulates in the body in virtually every organ. It won't kill you right away.... They sure as hell don't want people keeling over too soon...

We ingest these toxins daily from our FOOD. Monsanto grabbed a strangle hold virtually all over the world over farmers and in some cases and some places Monsanto deployed armed militia against those who resisted. Their lawyers quickly dispose of any farmer that dares to go against the system and refuse to buy their GMO seeds or use their pesticides.

By the way, many states now have a law that labels one as an "agricultural terrorist" if you go snooping and taking pictures of/into the live stock farming or meat processing plants that are owned by the giants such as Tyson Foods, JBS, etc.. That is a different topic all together though.

You Won't Believe How Roundup, or Glyphosate, Affects You!
