Interesting. But there is too little color. I prefer big colorful trains like these.

My dad had an HO train set on a table about as long as I can remember. He built a very large table that had to be about 12x10 feet with a very intricate layout, mountains, tunnels, buildings, etc. Was always fun to play with it, and demo for our son when he was a boy. Sadly, he gave it away a few months ago as my folks begin downsizing and prepare to eventually move out of their home of the past 35+ years.

Wow....great memories! I always wanted something more than the remedial layout in the basement (no scenery or buildings just tracks and trains) but other things with my Dad that were even more fun and rewarding (music, big band playing, camping, etc..) always won out for time spent. No regrets!
