Default Nice blurb on Dynaudio CES from Stereophile

John Atkinson wrote a nice piece on the new Dynaudio Confidence C4 Signatures at CES in the Stereophile blog:

Dynaudio's Confidence C4 Signature | Stereophile.com

A memorable quote:
" I have to say that with so many speakers available at two, three, or four times the C4 Signature's price, $22,000 starts to appear a very attractive cost for a speaker of this quality."

Yep, that's Dyns!

I made the statement in the other thread regarding the value of the C4 before I read this.
This speaker and the C1 and C2 have to be heard before making a huge investment. There are a lot of speakers out there that I like, respect and admire but I LOVE this C4.

Dynaudio has beautiful finishes. Too bad it's too tall and too boxy! Otherwise, it'll be a great alternatives to SF.

I think it's a great alternative, regardless. The design is a matter of personal taste...both are beautiful speakers, IMO.

Agreed. I feel the same way about the Contour line.

When you get your CA200?

Yes, it came today and is absolutely flawless. Joe is a fantastic guy to deal with and he truly cares.
We have company tonight so I only got an hour of listening in but Puma is absolutely correct about the matching of CJ with Dyn. I have clean-up to do but quickly - There is no possible way the little black Focus 140 can sound soooo fantastic. I know my room is small 12x13 but it suddenly seems that it has a huge soundstage built in. I would highly recommend the NAD for someone who has a limited budget but if you can find a deal on a CJ, "JUST DO IT".
Thanks for everything Joe, you are great.
Howard

Hi Howard,

I meet the best people here and you are on top of my list. I am very glad to read you are happy. I've had some remorse about selling the little guy but I just don't have the room to dedicate to multiple systems. CJ makes magic weather it's tube or solid state. I can't just let the Burmester gear just sit there while other gear is rotated in and out. Please keep the updates coming. I like to read them.

The top end Dyns are a very nice system. Their crossovers are top notch. I think when I person gets to really listen to them the imaging and depth and overall accuracy are very very good.

That's great, Howard; welcome to family of C-J ownership! The musicality and sweetness and that little touch of warmth that C-J gear brings blends beautifully with the accurate, neutral, but sweet-sounding qualities Dynaudios have to create real magic, IMHO.

I think you will find the CA200 is a keeper and will really make the 140s sing. You may even want to hook it up to the C4s at some point in time just to see what it can do with them. Please keep us appraised of your impressions and experiences as you get to know the CA200.
