Default Power Cord Question ré No PC Ground Connection at Component

Caelin,

My Esoteric SACD player bit the dust, & the Marantz SA-10 I'm replacing it with is designed with no ground pin in its IEC socket. My Alpha NR v1 PC fits the socket, but obviously makes no ground connection with the player. The other end is plugged in to my Denali 6000T.

Will the lack of a ground connection at the component end in any way diminish or adversely affect the noise reduction or general audio quality of the power cord? If so, what do you suggest? (I will, in the fullness of time, run a grounding wire from the player to the grounding terminal on the back of the Denali..)

The NR power cord and the Denali do not depend upon the safety ground wire for their operation and performance. The lack of a ground pin in your new component will not affect the benefits of the NR cable at all.
