Hang in there. I had to wait over 3 months before I received my KX-5 Twenty. Must be supply and demand and now the price has gone up.

Be patient with the break-in

Yeah, it took over two months for them to build a pair of MX-R Twenties.

They're a small company but obviously if they don't turn out product they don't get paid, so they do have incentive.

Thanks, guys. Staying patient. At least I'm enjoying the balanced input on my K-5xeMP continuing to flesh out.

They seem to be lately victims of their own success. Lead times are quite a bit longer than they were five or so years ago. But waiting for a multithousand piece of audio gear is a first world problem. More than anything, I'm glad to see a solid company with excellent products being rewarded by sales.

Another week to go, in the minimum, before I get my KX-5 Twenty. Starting to get itchy.

And yet I'm already thinking about my next upgrade, which will be speakers. I'm considering Focals.

That's interesting. When my MX-Rs crapped out again late last year and I decided to finally upgrade them to twenties, I was already four upgrades down the road mentally before the twenties even came back to me. Over the years I've learned that having a plan when upgrading is really helpful and does often require you to look a few steps beyond.

Will, what is your price range? What kind of music? Room size etc...???

You have Dynaudio right now if I recall, correct? Which ones? I would think you'd want to put Vandersteen's on that short list also as so many of us feel that the Ayre/Vandersteen's are a GREAT match and that includes Richard Vandersteen who has loved using Ayre for his SS amps in the past. There are a few speakers I would go listen to. I personally love the Vandersteen's as I just upgraded within the line, but there are plenty of other strong choices for you to audition.
