Apple - Here we go again
Apple admits touchscreens are failing on its $1,000 iPhone X just a year after it was released. Users might see the display react even when a user doesn't tap or swipe, or the display will not respond when a user does touch it. This news comes just weeks after Apple admitted it could start throttling the handsets if their batteries degrade. Apple says they will fix the touchscreen problem for free, but that obviously means you will be without your phone for some period of time.
That's not all. Apple also said hard drives on its MacBook Pro laptops, sold from June 2017 through June 2018, were having issues that could result in users losing their data. Read more here: https://www.dailymail.co.uk/sciencet...-released.html

Dan - fortunately I haven’t had any issues with my screen .......yet. So far its worked flawlessly with one exception. My iPhones have always randomly called people. Weird thing is, my old iPhones did it too, I’ll hear my pocket talking to me. Never been able to figure it out, but it happens somewhat often. Since you have to unlock the X with the face, I have no idea how it happens.

Been Apple since close to the beginning, IMO it serves best when you have device upon device: phone, tablet and laptop and they do incorporate a great build quality.
I do see how people can get fed up after you read what has been said and there offerings are not cheap! I never had random call outs, that I’ll admit, but I am getting a lot of freeze ups and my battery is draining faster, freeze ups are more of an issue as the battery most likely is related to something running and a system setting We all use iPhone X for mobile on our new Eeros Mesh Network - very nice.
