They also need to improve availability in the UK.

The Alpha USB is on permanent display at the following dealers:
- KJ West One - Midland Audio X-Change - the Audiobarn If neither of these dealers is nearby/convenient then please contact me and I can arrange for a demo cable. I have both Alpha and Sigma demo units here. Cheers, Guillaume |

Ah, thanks for the info. Don't know what the plans are for an Alpha or Sigma HDMI.

Shunyata Venom USB cable - Another absolute killer Shunyata product
So my Venom USB arrived on Wednesday and I had it running for a few days with JRiver supplying a steady stream of bits.
I started listening earlier this AM, comparing the Venom with my WW Platinum Series 7 USB cable. While the Venom is a very good cable, the WW Platinum sounded significantly better. It provides a more relaxed and tuneful presentation on everything I fed it. Perhaps not a fair comparison but great fun nonetheless. The Venom is a keeper and will land in my lake house system which has been needing a cable upgrade for some time. The Venom will work very well in that system. I am fairly neutral on audio cables - I have tried many and different price points and kept just a few. For me, USB cables make the biggest difference of any cables I have tried in my system. Bits are not just bits.

Thanks for the initial impressions. Might be worthwhile to do the comparison again after the Venom USB has ~200 hours on it; my hypothesis is its performance will have improved.

That’ll have to wait until I put it in the lake house system later this month. I’m sure it will make that system sound much better. It will get plenty of hours on it then.
