Neat video. Won’t be long as I think a race course is an ideal closed environment in which to run this kind of test...

Test? I imagine the future holds the ultimate showcase and battles of race car technology. Actual races between all the brands. Will AI F1 attract as many spectators if the driver talent element is removed? I think so.

I dunno - the tech is amazing and so are the drivers. A big part of the allure is the danger and skill - take that away and what do you have?

For sure Tom. Drama is a necessity for attracting audience.

On the other hand with no human life at stake and no need for safety, it would be fun to watch the AI battle it out on the race track full tilt. I imagine the algorithms would be very effective at not only overtaking but blocking as well. Perhaps instead of the "car" doing the driving, the AI can be in the form of a robot driver. Then you still have the two fundamentals of car technology and a driver. In any case, no doubt it will be experimented with heavily since it is already happening and the computer guys won't rest until they beat the human driver with an autonomous car.

A virtual library of any book in print in the last 200 years can be recited out loud in a woman's or a man's voice, why bother reading yourself when you can listen? Any song is available just ask and Life Assistant will gladly entertain you and your guest, any instrument available will be played to perfection and accompanied by a song of your choice.
Virtually any need and skill is easily addressed and a simple update is all that is required through the home wifi or via built in satellite receiver inside your Life Companion and billed directly to your account. Want to master a perfect golf swing? Learn a new language? Spar with a black belt martial arts instructor? Stumped with your next work assignment? Can’t figure out a calculus problem? Let Life Assistant take your stress away with perfectly executed school/work assignment waiting for you next to your laundered shirt, pressed suit and your fresh tie and socks. Don’t feel like getting dressed yourself, don’t like tying your own sneakers? Let Life Companion handle those pesky chores for you.

Why bother with real people? They have germs... Every Life Companion maintains a sterile and germ free form for a lifetime guaranteed. His/her lifetime, not yours...

That was NOT an option in the scenario.

If you were in the car with me, you would probably choose to hit the motorcycle than be hit by a cement truck.

I don't want an algorithm deciding my destiny. I'm going to choose self preservation at almost any cost.

I think the motorcyclist would strongly disagree...
