New here.

I am currently considering an upgrade from some old cheaper gear, and will get both amp and speakers. (The DAC is not that old and cheap, an exaSound e22mk2)
For the speakers, I have my eyes nearly set on the TAD ME1.

For the amping part, I am more confused.
Initially was considering the Octave V80se, but AB comparison with the Esoteric F-03a changed my mind and now looking at class A integrated.

So my questions are:
The TAD are not easy to drive for floorstanders; would the e65, with high quality class A 30W be enough to get them up to their best?
Does anyone has experience comparing the Accuphase and Esoteric I mentioned?
Does a class A integrated have problems in hot and humid summer if used for hours on end listening to music or TV? Should the amp always be left on for better sound, even if not in use?

Well, here are some things to think about.

Firstly, you actually would have 60W out of the E650 at your disposition, as the TAD speakers are 4Ω nominal impedance, not 8Ω.

Secondly, while I don't know how hot the E650 gets, my A47 gets lukewarm at best, even on a hot summer day. I doubt you'll have problems of that nature.

Also, I find that my A47 plays real well even shortly after I turn it on, so if that behaviour extends to the E650 as well (quite likely) you need not worry about this aspect. Shut it off when you aren't using it. (My R2R DAC is a different story - that one I find needs at least 1/2 hour warmup, so I leave it on. But, in only uses a few W anyway.)

Then, with the TAD's medium efficiency at 85dB, it comes down to room size. How big is the room you need to fill with sound, and how loud do you like it?

I would have to say the E-650 will not be up to the task of driving TAD R1’s to their potential. I use A-200’s (soon to be A-250’s) to drive them.

Thank you for the welcome and the information.
From my experience trying the Esoteric F-03a, 30W seems to go loud enough (more than enough actually) but just concerned about clipping if going near the max.
For heat, good to know that Accuphase amps do not get crazy hot.

My KGST Stax amp does get quite hot in summer and I would surely not want to use it 12h a day (as I might want to use the e-650)

And am I am considering the TAD ME1, the R1 little brother’s son. For the R1 surely a more beefy amp is required.

I already contacted my dealer to see if I could demo the e-650 with the TAD (I live in Tokyo, so hopefully,...)
