Don't be afraid to go up to the +12dB maximum on the MX122. You would only lower the C2600 to arrive at similar volume levels when switching between the MX122 and C2600. You don't want one obnoxiously loud when going from one to another. McIntosh wouldn't have those options if they caused distortion. Ron
