I think your doing the right thing. Life should be lived. Things that makes you happy can't be wrong.
I'm sure your system will be as good as it gets.
My system can probably be better with your suggestion. Krell Master Reference mono amps. I have to think about that. Showed them to my lovely wife... have to persuade to get that through.
Totally agree. Life should be lived boldly, not in fear. There is a pair of MR for 150,000 at Pinterest.com. They are the most beautiful and finest amps in the world. At 75,000 per amp, it's a good value, IMO. It's the FPB design taken to the max and gives you reference quality amplification to drive your Fenice. You would never need another amp. This is just a thought. I'm still going through your system. Incredible is all I can say.

You are probably right about KRELL MR, but no upgrade for me now.
At this point I'm ok with the gear I'm using.

I'm sure you know how special the FPB series is. It runs class A 100% yet provides class A at full rated power. It's a very special sliding or tracking circuit that allows this. This circuit is much different than the usual sliding bias circuits. It has twice the number of output transistors of a conventional push pull SS amp. The output transistors are very special also and the amp has no storage capacitors typical of SS amps. I tested this by turning my FPB off during a forte and sure enough, the music just stopped. Krell subsequently informed me not to do that anymore. Overall the FPB series may be the best SS amp. It runs hot but what other amp can supply true class A at 750 watts? Enjoy!

At first.

I wish you a Merry Christmas and a happy New Year.

-------------------------------------

I had the time this weekend to try Nordost QPOINT.

It's supposed do be placed under for example the pre-amp or other units. But the preamp is probably the best unit if you only use one QPOINT.

The idea is this due to Nordost
A complete sound system is the result of several factors working together in harmony to produce a cohesive, pleasing, and authentic representation of sound. As audiophiles, we are accustomed to examining how several factors, including components, cabling, power, vibration control, etc. work together in order to create the “best sound” possible. However, there is an element present in every system that has been chronically neglected until now: electromechanical resonance.

Every component in a sound system has several individually resonating parts within them. When these electromechanical resonances oscillate concurrently, but not in unison, these discordant vibrations become a source of electrical noise, resulting in smeared, muddy sound. At the High End show in Munich, happening now, we are previewing an exciting new product which solves this exact problem. The QPOINT eliminates this internal electrical noise, enhancing the coherency and timing that is typically lacking in even the most high-end audio systems.

The QPOINT is the latest development in QRT technology. The QPOINT Resonance Synchronizer emits a subtle field which manipulates all electromechanical resonances within its immediate proximity so that they resonate in unison with each other. In order to accommodate its effects to all of the various electronics in the industry, including but not limited to solid state or tube amplifiers, digital or analog source components, traditional line stages or modern digital processors, and even to tailor results to the personal preferences of the user, the QPOINT has been designed with two modes. Mode I and II each generate unique resonances, which emphasize different musical characteristics as they lower the noise floor. Users can switch from Mode I to Mode II instantaneously to evaluate which sonic properties fit the needs of each unique electronic device in their hi-fi system.

Nordost’s QPOINT Resonance Synchronizer ensures your electronics are all working in concert, in order to enhance the coherency, articulation, and musical structure of your system.

--------------------------------------

I'v tried it under my pre-amp. There is not a big difference but quite audibly. I familiar with my system so I could detect some interesting qualities.
The instruments tunes gets a bit more dynamic, clear and more resolution. It sounds like the transients gets higher and the top got sharpened, without any harshness. It's like the tune curve i washed. Without QPOINT it was a bit more dull.

I will try it out some more weeks to see if it's worth the money.

Nordost works really well in my current system, I’m all in house wide, but I’ve held off on these in lieu of Coherence Systems, ADD POWR brand offering what you hearing, plus +++ more, subtle but more accurate for less

Something to consider...

Happy New Year!

ABBA's Happy new year was playing and fireworks started outside.

Off course we played Robyn Dancing on my own intill the sunrise. The best pop song in 2010 decade.

Our fantastic wives love dancing all night and big speakers... good for us.

Robyn makes the Swedish people proud (as ABBA still does).

Quote about Dancing on my own(Wikipedia): "Calling the song "a universal scream into the void", an "exultant epiphany reminding you just how alive you are", the "killer single that elevated her to something approaching voice-of-a-generation status among America's burned-out youth", and "in a nutshell: perfection", Rolling Stone, NME, Stereogum, Consequence of Sound, Associated Press, Business Insider and Esquire went on to name "Dancing on My Own" the best song of the 2010s.[23]Time and Paste would name it second,[24] Pitchfork third,[25] Elle fourth,[26] USA Today ninth,[27]and Uproxx 18th.[28]"

Swedes are good at pop. I'm proud.
