Looks like they just cut off the dangerous pyramid shape to come up with that nice looking design.

Good one!

Actually, when I talked to the amps designer, Mr. Schlup (who is a very cool guy and kind of a mad scientist) he said that he made the amp pyramid shaped so that no one would put anything on top of it! I had the MSA for a long time and regret selling it. But you can't keep it all, right?

I am not sure which is worse. For those of us who lust for many of the products you are so fortunate to spend time evaluating, or when the time comes and you must pack them up and ship them back. Just like you said, "you can't keep it all".

There have definitely been some that I've really wanted to keep! But fortunately, I'm really happy with my two main systems, so I can't complain....

Now if I could only get a part time job writing about sports cars!!!!

I heard some very good comments on the combination of the new Nagra 300i/p with Verity Sarastro. Hoping to hear that combination soon.

Default Nagra 300p with Sasha w/p's wow...

I got a chance to hear the Nagra 300p vs my Ayre MXR's at my dealer 2 weeks ago. I have to say this is one very nice amp. I'll try it at home as soon as I can swing the funds, it might be a keeper.

Vs my current Ayre MXR's it was quieter (the shocker...not a little...like a lot), better spacial imaging, deeper bass, more natural presentation. It's a quite a amp. The question will be does it run out of gas on my Maxx 3's, the Ayre's effortlessly power the Wilsons.

My dealer and I both have the Nagra pre and phono (PLL & VPS) so maybe some of this is matching with the Nagra front end.

Anyway, if your in the market for a amp, the Nagra 300p is really special.

Incredible to read that the 300p was better on the Sasha than the MXR !
And with a better bass !
Damn Nagra knows how to design amplifiers.
