Default Does Anyone Here Use Eargo Hearing Devices

I've been thinking of ordering a pair of these hearing amplifiers. I passed on the first iteration, but now that the newest "Max" version is out, and I'm giving serious consideration to them.

So question: Do any of our esteemed members have any personal experience(s) with Eargo products?

I'm perfectly amenable to PM's on this topic as I am sensitive to the fact that one may not feel comfortable in an open forum discussion.

Thanks!

I haven’t used Eargo, but have used hearing aids for years (Oticon). The only suggestion I have is, if you have hearing loss or are experiencing hearing issues, if you haven’t already, see a professional audiologist before buying something over the internet to make sure they’re right for your particular circumstances.

Hi FreddieFerric, we heard your comment and wanted to jump in. Eargo is a Class I, FDA-registered hearing aid.

@Antonmb - Eargo was designed for adults with mild to moderate, high-frequency hearing loss and may not be appropriate for those experiencing more severe to profound loss. You can take our hearing screener at try.eargo.com or call us at the above number to learn more about our product and process.

Wow! You guys are on top of things to find this post.

As it happens I ordered a pair of the Max on Sunday. They're being delivered tomorrow. Still trying to figure out how to work around the signature requirement you put on my UPS delivery.

Aside from that, I'm pretty excited to try them.

Freddie, I hope they work out for you. They certainly look interesting and I’m not familiar with your situation, so they may be just the right thing.

Eargo: I hear what you’re saying (pun intended) but I still believe, even for mild to moderate loss, there is no substitute for a professional in-office hearing test and consultation from an audiologist.

@FreddieFerric: We're a pretty big fan of helping our clients hear more of life, and some good old-fashioned Internet sleuthing never hurts.

@Antonmb: We hear you (is there a limit on how many times we can use that pun? I hope not...) and so do our audiologists. We can appreciate that there are many types of hearing aid providers on the market, and we’re the new kids in town.

How does a guy ask a question about hearing aids and someone from said company immediately jump on the forum?

It's curious. I've been in my Chrome settings this morning clearing out cached files, browsing history and of course cookies. I figured I should get rid of the FB cookie since I previously deleted its hyperlink that I had saved.

Yes, I am FB free.
