There is also an updated iPad app I installed today. It's the companion upgrade to Roon 1.4. The biggest difference I noticed thus far is that my album artwork loads faster particularly when I scroll quickly through the library.

The main drawback for me is, still no chance to work with UPnP. Otherwise very very good environment in most aspects!

I’ve installed it too. Overall it’s good, but the queue function is totally hosed up now. At least it is for what I do. Don’t like that at all. Plus, I’m getting cranky in my old age.

The non-destrucable queue is what many of us were asking for.

That’s fair. I’m sure I’ll get used to it. I should have just had a good bourbon last night when I was fooling around with it. Im sure that would have made me a lot less cranky.

And also MQA albums are still not marked by Roon.

When I see multiple copies of an album, I have to play each one and check resolution to figure out the MQA one.

Please Roon, just put the "M" like Tidal does on its own site.

Love and respect.

Love and respect.

Here is an interim solution for you:
1. Create a tag called masters and tag your MQA files there, and
2. “Hide” the non-MQA versions of those albums.

It works for me.

Thanks nicoff but that's not really my problem.

In Roon, when I'm looking through Tidal albums which I haven't added to my Albums I am seeing 2, 3 or sometimes 4 copies of the same album. I can only tell which albums is the MQA by playing each one and checking the resolution. When I find the MQA version I add to my Albums.

This is a frustrating process for a software at Roon's level.

Don't get me wrong I love Roon. It elevated my joy with this hobby to another level.

Infact there should be an ultimate solution from Roon with Tidal albums.

An option called "play the highest resolution of the album possible on Tidal".

Sometimes I may have added a non MQA album to my "Albums" but after sometime a MQA version may come to Tidal. I shouldn't check if a MQA version came out for every album in my "Albums". When a MQA version comes that version should play automatically.

This should be a choice in options ofcourse since not everybody's system has MQA capability.

Love and respect,

Cagdas

The funny thing is that I was all for the non-destructible queue but I am not sure I like how they have have implemented it. As you noted we will see.
